Love, Self-Love and the Body

With Sharon Maser Danaceau
What does love have to do with it? Everything! Love is the absolute essence of the Goddess and the most core and primary human feminine quality. We need to nurture love in ourselves, both for our own self and for others, if we wish to bring about the changes we want to see in the world. There is no other action that will accomplish the goals we desire to achieve.

Love is rarely directly spoken of by spiritual teachers. This talk will address the nature of love and how it relates to the body.  We will reference some spiritual teachers, such assuch as Buddha, Christ, Carol Christ, Thich Nhat Han, Marianne Williamson, Wayne Muller, and the author will present her own thoughts.  There will be time for sharing and discussion.

The Human Revolution Acoustic Band

The Human Revolution Acoustic Band (with Sam Frey and Scott Izumida) is performing at the Goddess Gala, on Saturday November 12 at Crown Hall.
Every once in a while an artist emerges that just touches that perfect place inside, Human is one of those artists. Backed by The Human Revolution, an impressive rotating cast of master musicians, Human has been leading the way for politically, socially, and ecologically charged performers and songwriters for over a decade.

human kindness

Guests and past members of the lineup have included: Roger Fritz (Sheryl Crow, Shelby Lynn), Jeff Pevar (Ray Charles, Crosby Stills and Nash, Jazz is Dead), Donny “Divino” Smith (Willie Nelson), “Uncle” Don Lopez (Willie Nelson, Willie K), Gene Parsons (The Byrds), David Mayfield (Andy Griggs, Cadillac Sky, Avett Brothers), Jessica Lea Mayfield, Alice Di Micele, Kailen Yong (Boulder Acoustic Society) and MC Radioactive (Spearhead) to name a few.

The Human Revolution boasts an eclectic mix of styles with a definitive foundation in that roots-rock country style of music, we call it Mystic Americana. Songs transition gently from ecstatic dance beats to tearjerker ballads, from modern political rockers to positive roots reggae, carrying the audience on a journey which changes, often with the band, from show to show.

The Human Revolution is currently touring the US and Hawai’i, and working on their seventh album titled Small Town with long time bassist and engineer Peter Temple in Albion, CA. Small Town presents some of the most commercial sounding tracks from the band so far, but stays true to their mystic underground roots. The album is due to be released by spring 2012.

Human recently relocated to Costa Rica after 10 years on the West Coast. He continues to perform and tour locally and nationally and the band has bases in Mendocino, CA and Ashland, OR.

  • Human is a self-inspired spokesperson for the eco-sustainable-social-political urges in the country
  • Human was musically raised in the intimate Northeast Ohio music scene with fellow performers David Mayfield (Cadillac Sky, The Avett Brothers), Jessica Lea Mayfield, Jeremy Abshire (Dale Ann Bradley), and The Black Keys.
  • Human received the 2007 AMMA Video of the Year Award for the music video of “Tree of Life”
  • The “Tree of Life” music video has received over 250,000 views online
  • Human was the Grand Prize Winner of the 2007 Art of Heart Songwriting Contest for his song “My Community”
  • The Human Revolution opened for Willie Nelson in French’s Camp, CA on Labor Day 2008.
  • Human is a former member of the all-star musical group ‘Pioneers of the New Dawn.’ Band mates included Bill Bottrell (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Travelling Wilburys), Roger Fritz (Sheryl Crow, Shelby Lynn) and Bay Area Jazz drummer Jimmy Gallagher.
  • The Human Revolution was selected to headline the annual 4:20 party at the 2009 Seattle Hempfest.
  • The Human Revolution headlined the San Diego Earthfest, the “World’s Largest Earth Day Event” twice, in 2006 and 2010.
  • Human and longtime bass player and engineer Peter Temple produced conscious pop-diva TES’ 2008 debut album Awake in the Dream.
  • All ‘The Human Revolution’ merchandise including: shirts, promo cards, albums, etc, are produced as ecologically as is commercially available using plant-based inks, organic cotton, and PCW recycled paper.

Web of One is based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California where they are one of the freshest and most unique bands of the West Coast conscious, psychedelic and devotional music scene.

web of one
Founders Mathias and Eostar come from different musical backgrounds:

  • Mathias was co-founder of the Boulder, CO based psychedelic jam band “Double Dose” touring nationally between 1987-2005. Double Dose released 3 CDs : Sense of Spirit, Live at the Idaho 2001 Rainbow Gathering and Live from the Launch Pad .
  • Eostar was founder of the Eugene, Oregon based devotional, Celtic, world music band “Fearless Love”.  She composed and played mostly spiritual, yogic, and New Age world music and led regular kirtan and sound-healing events. Eostar’s first album, Devotion, was recorded with Fearless Love at Om Studios and was released in the Fall of 2008. Her new albumwith Fearless Love, Rose and Lotus,  was released in the spring of 2011.

In Web of One, Mathias and Eostar blend their uniquely different musical notions into a living and breathing performance geared toward uplifting the consciousness of the listeners and inspiring them to dance. This transcendental sound is intended to resonate in the deepest of one’s heart, transporting one into a state of bliss through ecstatic singing, dance and movement.
Web of One performs Eostar’s original compositions while Mathias’s keen sense of music and arrangement tie it all together. Eostar’s prolific songwriting talents reflect a depth of feeling and understanding of the human experience, while also incorporating the magic of ancient Sanskrit mantras from India. She draws her inspirations from various spiritual traditions from around the world, all of which she considers to be expressions of the same underlying human feeling of longing for union with our Divine Essence. Eostar’s pure and angelic vocals are sweetly in tune with the spiritual message of the songs.

Mathias’ melodic and trance-inducing improvisational guitar playing add an element of psychedelic depth and a syncopated groove to the cosmic, neo-devotional sound of this music.

Influenced by psychedelic rock, jazz, world music and funk, Mathias’ virtuosity comes alive through hypnotizing guitar solos that take the listener on a journey into the depths of one’s self.
Mathias has a long history in the counter culture having played in the underground scene for over 20 years. His prior band, Double Dose, also opened for many legends in the rock world, including Jorma Kaukonen, Warren Zevon, Dave Mason, Joe Sample, Merl Saunders, Widespread Panic, Blues Traveler, and more.

Channeling on the Goddess Festival of Mendocino

by the High Priestess of the Goddess Festival, Shanti Balsé

Greetings Beloved Ones! We are here and it is our pleasure to have contact with you as always.

During these times of rapid change and shifting sands underneath your very own feet, you are being called to be the masters that you are.

It is time and there are no more excuses.

Life as you know it is literally melting before your very eyes! And yet you are expected to hold up & act as if nothing new under the sun is occurring.

Yet everything under the sun and the sun itself is shifting – you knew this would be happening before you came here.

It’s easy to get caught in the mundane details, that demand your entire attention & to forget that you are masters and you actually did choose to come here during this time to participate AND precipitate these changes.

It’s easy to forget this as the bills pile up, the children are screaming for your attention (really intentions), the banks and properties foreclose etc. But no amount of distraction can keep you from the fierce commitment each one of you made to participate in this shift. You called yourselves forth and now we are simply reminding you.

This so-called festival (the Goddess Festival of Mendocino) is the beginning of the next major shift that is required for you light-workers to make. It is a global movement on the 11/11/11 and your are called to anchor in the light grids into your area of Mendocino, in order to help this shift occur all the way to the atomic level at this location.

The shift is occurring in each one of you first and foremost, so that the energies you bring in can come through clearer on this designated date.

The vision comes from Divine Feminine Head Quarters in Avalon, UK, from the Isle of Briget. She is calling upon Her Sister lands to awaken and join the celebratory shift. And Her Sister town of Mendocino calls on you, Her Children, Her Priestesess & Priests to help Her birth forth the vision of the New Earth Paradigm. And help release the old hold of patriarch that has plagued Her, cut Her trees, over fished Her rivers and disrespected Her Design.

She is calling Her people to help Her make this shift  in consciousness alongside Her.

For those of you who have grown in Her lands, along Her waters, amongst Her trees, She now calls on you to priestess Her into the New Paradigm.

And for those of you who have more recently heard Her call, she asks you as well to join Her in this momentous global event to help make the grid shift from the old dying paradigm to the New Earth Paradigm of the Golden Age.

Gaia is making Her transition into Light. She is becoming a Star.

Each energy vortex must be activated and on line in order to make this shift gracefully and joyfully. This festival is exactly that, getting the Mendocino vortex on line with Gaia’s paradigm shift

If you are called to be a part of this in any way – you are invited.

Know, great shifts will occur in your life. All that no longer serves you will leave to make space for your New Sacred Self.

The extend that you give your energy to this shift is the extend you will have a shift and your energy will be returned to you 1000 fold.

This will reveal to you where you are holding stuck energy. This will mirror back to your where you feel powerless and it will aide you through the shift by bringing the light of consciousness of light into these places of shadow and lack.

If you are truly willing to make this shift, this shift will carry you all the way through to your core and the remembrance of who you truly are.

Give everything to Gaia and Her shift and She will give you everything you could ever dream of and more.

Because She is You.

We are One.

So be it.

Love and Light, Beloved Beings.

You are truly Blessed.

Goddess, Gods & All that Is LOVES YOU.

Blessed Be.
